What the U.N. says:
The target of this goal is to halve the amount of global food waste by 2030 and develop and implement tools to monitor sustainable development impact for sustainable tourism. This goal, if achived could see a massive decrease in poverty and hunger. This goal also aims to achieve sustainable management and efficient use of natural resourses. Another target is to implement the 10 year framework of programmes on sustainable consumption and production, all countries taking taking action, with developed countries taking the lead, taking into account the development and capabilites of developing countries. By 2030, halve per capita global food waste at the retail and consumer levels and reduce food losses along production and supply chains, including post-harvest losses. By 2030, achieve the environmentally friendly management of chemicals and all wastes throughout their life cycle.
